The Causes of Hemorrhoids

Read on and you will agree with me that hemorrhoids patient should get their treatment asap!

Hemorrhoids give a whole new meaning to the term ‘Pain in the butt”. And damn, having hemorrhoids is really painful because it is the swelling of veins in the anal canal, which can be either external or internal. The common cause of hemorrhoids is the increased pressure on the veins in the pelvic and rectal area. When pressure increases bit by bit, blood pools in the veins causing them to swell. When the swollen veins surround the tissue in the anal, this causes hemorrhoids to develop.

Apart from that, the causes of hemorrhoids are also bowel habits. Rushing to relieve yourself from bowel movements can lead to excessive straining and increased pressure on the rectal veins. Also, other causes hemorrhoids are persistent diarrhea or constipation. This also causes rectal veins straining and pressure in the anal canal.

Apart from the causes of hemorrhoids discussed above, being overweight can also be the cause. This is because excessive weight at the abdomen and pelvis can give pressure on the pelvic veins. Certain medical conditions such as heart and liver disease may cause blood to collect in the abdomen and pelvic area, thus enlarging the veins.

Hemorrhoids relief can be found in home treatments or by seeing the doctor immediately. Most hemorrhoids do not require clinical treatment since you can relief hemorrhoids by changing your diet and bowel habits. Non surgical hemorrhoids treatment focus on fixative procedures which aims to reduce the blood flow to the hemorrhoids to it eventually shrinks and goes away whereas surgical treatments is to remove the hemorrhoids surgically. Surgical treatment is only done if the hemorrhoids are large, internal or to stop excessive bleeding.
